An established provider of community-based eye care services is seeking a passionate and dedicated Optometrist to join its growing team.
The organisation is committed to delivering high-quality eye care directly to patients in their own homes, supporting individuals who may have difficulty accessing traditional optical practices. The Opportunity
The successful candidate will provide domiciliary eye care services to patients within Bristol and the surrounding areas. Due to increasing demand, there is an established patient base ready to be supported.
The role offers excellent flexibility, allowing you to choose between a 4- or 5-day working week to suit your lifestyle and commitments. Weekend working is not required.
Equipment & Support
A comprehensive equipment package and full training programme will be provided to ensure you feel confident and supported from day one. Ongoing clinical and operational support is readily available, including access to experienced colleagues for guidance and second opinions when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations in patients’ homes.
- Typically see 6–7 patients per day.
- Deliver exceptional patient care through longer appointment times.
- Build meaningful relationships with patients and their families.
- Make autonomous clinical decisions while benefiting from professional support when required.
- Utilise modern diagnostic equipment and digital record-keeping systems.
- Participate in continuing professional development and training opportunities.

Candidate Requirements
- Qualified and registered Optometrist.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
- Full UK driving licence.
