Location: Lakeside Area, Essex

Working Hours: Full-time or part-time opportunities available. Evening and weekend working required.

Salary: Up to £65,000 depending on experience

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Optometrist to join a specialist eye care provider based within a busy retail and healthcare environment in the Lakeside area.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside ophthalmologists and other experienced eye care professionals, you will play a key role in delivering a wide range of clinical eye care services and supporting patients throughout their treatment journey.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities may include:

• Conducting pre- and post-treatment assessments for patients undergoing ophthalmic procedures.
• Providing clinical support to consultant ophthalmologists and the wider healthcare team.
• Delivering comprehensive eye examinations and patient consultations.
• Supporting patients through their treatment and follow-up care.
• Maintaining accurate clinical records and ensuring adherence to professional and regulatory standards.

Candidate Requirements

• GOC-registered Optometrist.
• Minimum of two years’ post-registration experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong clinical decision-making abilities.
• Commitment to delivering outstanding patient care.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
